This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of Revlon for SocialSpark. All opinions are 100% mine.
Two things you might not know about me:
1. I love getting stuff in the mail.
2. I love make-up.
So when I got a package in the mail recently from Revlon, I was beside myself with excitement. Think jumping up and down and ripping the package open right in the driveway!
The Revlon Expression Experiment is a challenge to women to break out of their normal beauty routines and try something new. It's a challenge to be bold, to stretch beyond your standard look, to let your hair down and have fun with beauty! Try out some bold lipstick, a bright nail polish, or choose some fun eye shadow!
I think this challenge was actually made just for me - I get so caught up in my daily routine sometimes that I don't even think about what make-up I'm wearing. It becomes part of the same old routine, and before I know it it's been months since I deviated from the same "uniform" of shades that I always wear.
Back to the package - here's what Revlon sent me:
I will admit that I wasn't too happy with the color selections at first...then I realized that's kind of the point.I would never have picked out the blue polish on my own, and I was always too intimidated to experiment much with bold eyeshadows, but you know what? I tried each of them, and I really love both! And now I have a lot more confidence to go try more new and adventurous colors - and I will, for sure. Thinking about it, I realize now that I've never really used Revlon products before, but they've made a convert out of me. The quality of their make-up is incredible, and the nail polish has lasted for a really, really long time. Ten days later, it still looks great. I don't go easy on my hands and feet (especially with a budding furniture restoration business and a three year old), but it has held up much better than any other polish I've tried in a long time.
So, here's my verdict: thumbs up, all around!
And here's my challenge to you, dear readers: do something today to break out of your normal ho-hum beauty routine and remember what makes you feel beautiful!
Remember to visit the Revlon Expression Experiment Facebook page! I'd love to know what challenge you'll be taking!
